Young adult readers will be especially charmed and inspired by Princess Elinore, a fitting heroine for this compelling quest narrative. Known for her beauty and indomitable spirit, she is a strong and adventurous female protagonist who acts with agency. Her kingdom espouses a democratic attitude, with an emphasis placed on hard work and equality, as evidenced by her ability to speak her mind, defend herself, and ride alone. She may appear to be the quintessential fair maiden, but Palmer deftly creates a multifaceted character who is all too aware of the role she is expected to play.
US Review of Books
I read this book with my wife. We started out planning to read a chapter a day. That was short lived. The story was intriguing, the characters captivating, and the setting imaginative. Elinore’s Choice pulled us in. Just when we thought we knew where the author was going to take us, there was a surprising twist to the story. Then we had to read more and more – couldn’t put it down. Overall assessment – Delightful!! Looking forward to the next book from this author.

I loved this book! It is a quick read with all the elements of suspense and romance you could want. It easily reminded me of a Disney tale. I would recommend it for young teens.
